Near 26th St. and Whitis Ave

On Friday, May 3, 2024, at approximately 4:38 a.m., officers responded to a report of a robbery. The victim (UT-affiliated) advised that an unknown suspect assaulted him and stole his cell phone near 26th Street and Whitis Avenue. Officers immediately searched the area and were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as a shirtless, Black male, with an athletic build, wearing black pants.
