Lieutenant

Lieutenant Jeff Crawford serves with The University of Texas at Austin Police Department and brings more than 30 years of law enforcement experience. Prior to joining UTPD, he honorably retired from the Austin Police Department after a distinguished career that included assignments in Uniformed Patrol, SWAT, the Gang Unit, Homicide, Burglary Investigations, and Bomb Squad.

In addition to his law enforcement service, Lieutenant Crawford has served as an Adjunct Instructor with the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (A.L.E.R.R.T.) Center, helping train law enforcement officers from across the nation in active attack response tactics and critical incident management.

A strong advocate for professional development, Lieutenant Crawford believes well-trained officers are better prepared to serve and protect their communities. His extensive operational experience and commitment to training support his approach to leadership and public safety.
