At the University of Texas Police Department, our values reflect who we are and the standard we hold ourselves to every day. After nearly a year of intentional collaboration, input from across the department, and engagement with University leadership, we formally established our shared values.
Simply put, our values are intrinsically tied to the very nature of our calling, We SERVE.
Each of the letters in SERVE stands for a value that defines who we are at our best, and they set the standard for how we show up for each other, for the University, and for our community.
These values are not simply slogans or words on a wall. They reflect who we already are and the culture we continue to build together.
They guide how we serve the University of Texas community and how we hold ourselves accountable in every interaction, every decision, and every responsibility we carry.
