Ava Crawford serves as the Social Media Manager and Multimedia Specialist for The University of Texas at Austin Police Department, where she oversees the department's strategic communications, public information, and digital engagement efforts. Her responsibilities include managing UTPD's social media platforms, developing public safety messaging, coordinating communication strategies, producing photography and video content, designing graphics and marketing materials, maintaining department website content, and supporting media and public information initiatives.

Working closely with department leadership, university partners, and public safety stakeholders, Ava develops communications that promote public safety, community engagement, transparency, and awareness of UTPD programs and services. She also supports the department's public information and outreach efforts by helping communicate timely and accurate information to the university community during both routine operations and significant events.

A lifelong Central Texas resident, Ava earned a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Media Industries with a minor in Public Relations from Texas Tech University in 2025. She combines a background in digital media, visual storytelling, and strategic communications to help connect the university community with the resources, services, and people of UTPD.
