Heather Roland

Lieutenant

Lieutenant Heather Roland serves with The University of Texas at Austin Police Department and brings a diverse range of law enforcement, operational, and leadership experience. She has eight years of service with UTPD and previously served with law enforcement agencies in Missouri.

Prior to her promotion to lieutenant, Lieutenant Roland served as UTPD’s Field Training Coordinator, where she managed the department’s Field Training Program and played a key role in developing and mentoring newly hired police officers.

Lieutenant Roland is committed to advancing public safety through effective leadership, strategic planning, employee development, and operational excellence. She focuses on building strong teams, improving organizational processes, and supporting the professional growth of those she serves alongside.
