On Sunday, February 4, at approximately 7 p.m., UTPD Officers responded to the intersection of 26th St. and Nueces St. in reference to a possible stabbing. Upon arrival, Austin Fire Department and EMS were already on scene treating the victim (non UT-affiliated). 

The Austin Police Department (APD) arrested a male subject on scene (non UT-affiliated), for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a 2nd degree felony. The victim was transported to a local hospital for further treatment. There is no ongoing threat to the community and this appears to be an isolated incident at this time.
