OFF-CAMPUS INCIDENT NOTIFICATION: ASSIST OUTSIDE AGENCY
Around 9:13 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, the Austin Police Department (APD) alerted UTPD regarding a possible aggravated assault that occurred at the CVS on Guadalupe Street. APD 9-1-1 received reports that a male suspected entered the business with a weapon, threatened the employee and left the area on foot. UTPD officers assisted APD officers by searching the area and were unable to locate the suspect. No injuries were reported.
Witnesses described the suspect as a Black male, with dreadlock styled hair and a ski mask pulled over his face. He was last seen wearing all camouflage clothing.
The Austin Police Department is actively investigating this incident. Call APD at 311 if you have any information about this crime.
Alerts issued for incidents beyond UTPD jurisdiction are dependent upon notification from outside agencies. UTPD is not obligated to issue alerts outside Clery geography, but will relay safety messaging from other agencies as a courtesy to our community.
