OFF-CAMPUS INCIDENT NOTIFICATION: Assist Outside Agency 

September 4, 2022

Around 7:40 a.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2022, the Austin Police Department (APD) alerted UTPD to a report of an aggravated robbery that occurred near the 2200 block of Guadalupe Street.

A suspect approached a male victim, struck the victim with an umbrella and stole his belongings. UTPD officers responded to the area and assisted APD with setting up a perimeter. Officers ultimately detained the suspect around 8:46 a.m. There is no ongoing threat to the UT Community. Neither the suspect nor victim are UT-affiliated. No other injuries were reported.
