UTPD Increases West Campus Patrols to Enhance Safety
The University of Texas at Austin Police Department (UTPD) is a fully-functioning, accredited state police agency with more than 100 employees serving the UT Austin community 24/7. UTPD provides law enforcement through specialized teams including Investigations, K-9, Motors, and Medical District patrol and operates its own 911 Dispatch Center.
The department operates on a community-oriented policing philosophy, encouraging greater communication between police and the communities they serve. Members of the UT community are encouraged to use the District Representative interactive map to directly email an officer about any concerns.
The University Police Building (UPB) is located at 2201 Robert Dedman Dr, directly east of the Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
