Rates and Terms of Service

| Police Officer | Commissioned UTPD peace officers or UTPD-approved contracted peace officers provide professional law enforcement support, including incident response, crowd management, traffic control, criminal activity response, and other situations requiring police intervention. | $91 |
| K-9 Team | Explosives-detection K-9 support is available for facility sweeps, package screening, dignitary protection, and other approved security operations. K-9 deployments require an additional commissioned support officer. The listed hourly rate covers the K-9 handler only; the assigned support officer will be billed separately at the applicable Police Officer rate. | $107* |
| Public Safety Officer | Provides a visible, unarmed presence to support event operations, assist attendees, and help maintain a welcoming environment. PSOs are not commissioned peace officers that do not provide law enforcement response and are not assigned to manage disruptions, disturbances, or demonstrations. | $45 |
- Minimum Charge: A minimum of two hours per requested officer will be charged for each event. Events lasting longer than 2 hours are billed for the actual time worked.
- Additional Service Time: Pre-event briefings may be required based on staffing levels and event complexity. Any work beyond the scheduled service period, including arrests, investigations, report writing, or other event-related law enforcement activities, will be billed to the event organizer.
- Cancellation Policy: UTPD must be notified of cancellations at least 24 hours before the scheduled event. Late cancellations or cancellations not reported to UTPD may be billed the minimum charge for each requested officer.
- Staffing Policy: Event organizers may request a specific number of officer, however, UTPD will determine appropriate staffing levels based on factors such as attendance, event type, location, and operational needs to ensure the safety of the event.
