On-Campus Incident - Arrest for Invasive Visual Recording

Summary:

Around 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, UTPD officers were notified about a suspect taking pictures under a shower stall at Jester West Hall. The suspect (UT-Affiliated) was arrested and charged with two counts of Invasive Visual Recording. UTPD will continue to investigate this incident.

Arrest for Invasive Visual Recording

Summary:

The University of Texas Police Department (UTPD) Criminal Investigation Unit was notified about a possible crime involving invasive visual recording and was able to immediately identify the suspect and begin their investigation. UTPD executed a search warrant on Nov. 30. 

On Dec. 11 at 5:15 p.m. the suspect was arrested on three state jail felony charges of invasive visual recording. The university has taken all available steps to further the campus community's safety.
