On December 30, 2024, at approximately 8:23 p.m., UTPD discovered that several vehicles in the Speedway Garage had been burglarized. Unknown individual(s) gained entry into the vehicles by breaking windows and attempted to steal multiple vehicles.
We are working to narrow the timeframe but believe the burglaries occurred between 12/28/24 and 12/30/24. At this time, no suspects have been identified, and an investigation is ongoing.
We encourage everyone to remain vigilant and take precautions to protect their vehicles, such as:
- Ensuring your vehicle is locked and all valuables are out of sight or removed.
- Parking in well-lit and heavily trafficked areas when possible.
- Reporting any suspicious activity to UTPD immediately by calling 911 or using the LiveSafe app.
