Non-stranger Sexual Assault - 12/07/19

Date Occurred
Location
Jester Dormitory

Summary:

At 1:00 a.m. on December 7, 2019, UTPD responded to a report of a non-stranger sexual assault involving a UT student and an acquaintance at Jester Dormitory.

The UTPD Investigations and Analysis Division is actively investigating this incident.

The most common type of sexual assault is perpetrated by someone the victim knows, not by a stranger. Consent is enthusiastic agreement required by all and can be revoked at any time. Sexual activity requires consciousness and clarity. Don’t feel obligated to do anything you don’t want to do. "I don’t want to" is always a good enough reason.
