ON-CAMPUS INCIDENT NOTIFICATION - Robbery

Outside Jester West Residence Hall, On Campus




Around 12:33 a.m. on April 7, 2024, UTPD officers responded to a report of suspicious activity outside the Jester West Residence Hall (201 E. 21st Street). Witnesses reported seeing a male suspect cutting bike locks and told him to stop. The suspect threatened the victims (UT-affiliated) and fled the scene with stolen property. No injuries were reported. 

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned man. He was last seen wearing: 
- Dark, hooded sweatshirt
- Ski mask
- Gray sweatpants 

Because the suspect knowingly threatened the victims while theft was in progress, this incident is being investigated as a robbery.
