Summary:

Around 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, the Austin Police Department (APD) alerted UTPD to a report of a robbery that occurred at the Chase Bank in the 2500 block of Guadalupe Street. A suspect approached a teller and handed them a note stating he had a bomb. The suspect fled and was last seen running Northbound in the 2500 block of Nueces Street.

No injuries were reported. There is no ongoing threat to the community at this time.

The Victims Advocate Network (VAN) has extended services to the bank tellers at Chase Bank, where the incident occurred.
