Jester Center West, 201 East 21st Street

Occurred on 5-16-06, at 2:23 AM.

Public Intoxication: A UT staff member reported finding a subject on the 7th floor having an extreme physical reaction to the over consumption of alcohol. It appeared the subject was still wearing the undigested remnants of her dinner. The responding police officer located the subject inside a 7th floor dormitory room lying on the floor. The subject was identified as a UT student under the legal age of 21. The student continued having extreme physical reactions to the point that Austin EMS was contacted to evaluate her. Austin EMS transported her to a local area hospital for alcohol poisoning.

Crime Prevention Tip:

During this investigation, the officer learned from the roommate that they both had been to a private party off of Riverside Dr. The roommate stated both had consumed unknown quantities of Bacardi Rum along with Jell-O shots containing Everclear. I wonder if this student looked at herself in the mirror, while getting ready, and considered the visual impact of her "night out on the town" accessories- the contents of her stomach all over her clothes and the wafting ambience of their aroma.
