Geography Building, 210 West 24th Street
Occurred on 03-06-06 at 11:35 PM.
Criminal Trespass / Assist Outside Agency / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on the south side of the building. The subject had received a written criminal trespass warning an hour earlier for the same area. The subject was found to have two outstanding outside agency arrest warrants. The subject was also found to be in possession of two small pipes that contained burned marijuana residue.
Gregory Gym, 2101 Speedway
Occurred on 11:00 PM and 11:30 PM.
Theft: An Ironhorse AT50 bicycle was stolen after it was left unsecured on the west side of the gym. Loss value: $125.00.
Jesse H. Jones Communication Center, 2504 Whitis
Discovered on 03-04-06 at 4:40 PM.
Graffiti: A stencil was used to write words with red and orange spray paint on the south exterior wall of the building. Removal cost: $100.00.
Jester Center Academic, 201 East 21st Street
Occurred on 03-06-06 between 12:30 PM and 1:00 PM.
Theft: A pink Coach purse containing $100.00 in cash, a set of keys and a debit card was stolen when it was left inside an unsecured 1st floor womens restroom. Loss value: $120.00.
Jester Center West, 201 East 21st Street
Occurred on 03-06-06 at 3:15 PM.
Theft (2 counts): A UT student reported seeing a suspicious subject steal a front tire from a Schwinn bicycle that was secured with a u-lock to a bicycle rack and place the stolen wheel on another bicycle that had its front wheel secured with a u-lock to the same bicycle rack. The subject stole the frame and rear wheel of one bicycle and the front tire of the other bicycle. The subject was described as a black male that was older looking, tall, slender build and wearing a baggy plaid shirt and dirty blue jeans. The subject was last seen riding away on his assembled stolen bicycle that was red in color with shocks on the front fork. The owner of the Schwinn did not give anyone permission to steal his wheel. The owner of the red bicycle has not yet been located. Loss value: Undetermined at this time.
Occurred on 03-06-06 at approximately 4:58 PM.
Interference with Public Duties: A UT student attempted to cross through an area that had been closed by a police officer during an investigation. The student was stopped and advised to walk around the designated area. The student began to inquire about what would happen if he crossed through the restricted area and eventually walked into the restricted area.
Parking Lot 41, 2200 Red River
Occurred on 03-06-06 between 8:45 AM and 7:15 PM.
Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right window was broken out of a black dodge pick-up truck that was parked in the Parking Lot. A Pioneer AM / FM / CD stereo, speaker boxes containing two Sony X-plode speakers and 12 compact discs were stolen form the vehicle. Repair cost: $150.00. Loss value: $450.00.
Peter T. Flawn Academic Center, #2 West Mall
Occurred on 03-05-06 between 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM.
Theft: A SIM card was stolen out of a Motorola cell phone that was left on a table in an unsecured 2nd floor room. Loss value: $30.00.
University Teaching Center, 105 West 21st Street
Discovered on 03-07-06 at 1:21 AM.
Graffiti: A permanent marker, pen and paint were used to make numerous markings on walls located in side a 2nd floor mens restroom. Removal cost: $70.00.
Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe
Reported on 03-06-06 at 11:28 AM.
Criminal Mischief: An unknown object was used to create a small hole in a 1st floor exterior window. Repair cost: $200.00.
2300 San Jacinto
Occurred on 03-07-06 at 3:28 PM.
Possession of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was stopped for running a stop sign while driving a white VW Passat. A can of beer was found on the floorboard behind the drivers seat.
300 West 24th Street
Occurred on 03-06-06 between 2:00 PM and 2:45 PM.
Leaving the Scene Collision: An unknown vehicle struck the left side of a green Honda Civic 4-door while the Civic was parked on the north side of the roadway. The striking vehicle left white paint transfer on the Civic. The driver of the striking vehicle left the scene without leaving driver information. Repair cost: $500.00.

Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, The University of Texas Police Department responded to 5 alarm calls, 4 unsecured door reports, 2 medical emergencies and 4 suspicious activity reports between 03-06-06 and 03-07-06.
