College of Business Administration, 2110 Speedway

Occurred on 10-26-05 at 5:23 PM.

Criminal Trespass (2 counts): Two non-UT subjects were found on the plaza located on the north side of the building performing bicycle stunts. Both subjects were issued written criminal trespass warnings.

Crime Prevention Tip:

Bicycles are required to follow the same traffic regulations as vehicles on the UT Campus. As such, you are not allowed to ride your bicycle on sidewalks or plaza areas. This rule is in place for your safety and the safety of pedestrians.

T.S. Painter Hall, 103 West 24th Street

Occurred on 10-26-05 at 2:10 PM.

Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was found sleeping in an exterior garbage nook located on the west side of the building. The subject was found to have four outstanding outside agency arrest warrants for camping in a public place (1 count), possession of drug paraphernalia (2 counts) and aggressive solicitation (1 count).

Crime Prevention Tip:

It Is not uncommon to find people who are down on their luck and without a job or home that have involvement with drugs. Is there a correlation? Do you want to risk it? Just say no.

Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, The University of Texas Police Department responded to 16 alarm calls, 1 unsecured door, 1 suspicious activity report, 3 medical emergency calls, and 3 requests for service between 10-26-05 and 10-27-05.
