Occurred on 8-20-05 at 2:50 AM.
Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on the east side of the building. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Colorado Apartments, 2501 Lake Austin Blvd
Occurred on 8-19-05 between 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM.
Theft: A silver colored Ozone 500 bicycle was stolen while it was left unsecured by the owners apartment. Loss value: $100.00.
Graduate School of Business, 100 West 21st Street
Occurred on 8-20-05 at 1:50 AM.
Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found loitering in a 1st floor hallway while the building was closed to the public. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Occurred on 8-22-05 at 1:45 AM.
Public Intoxication (2 counts) / Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon / Retaliation: Two non-UT subjects were found yelling profanities at pedestrians. Both subjects were found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point they were a physical endangerment to themselves and others. One of the subjects was in possession of a guitar case containing a variety of items, including a 14 long machete. While being transported to a detention facility, one of the subjects made threatening statements to the police officer.
Moncrief-Neuhaus Athletic Center, 2015 San Jacinto
Occurred on 8-20-05 at 1:32 PM.
Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject, who was aggressively soliciting autographs from UT football players, refused to leave the building after being told to do so by a UT staff member. The subject left after the police were summoned to the area. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st Street
Occurred on 8-6-05 between 12 noon and 8:00 PM.
Theft: A wallet containing $10.00 cash, various identification cards; including a social security card, and various credit cards was stolen when it was left at a study table while the owner left to eat. The wallet was found by a trash dumpster at an Austin area fast food establishment. The person who found the wallet contacted the owner to have the wallet returned. The cash had been stolen from the wallet.

Occurred on 8-21-05 at 3:20 AM.
Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was stopped for speeding and turning from the wrong traffic lane while driving a 1987 Volvo. The student was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages, but not to the point he was driving while intoxicated.
1800 San Jacinto
Occurred on 8-21-05 at 2:10 AM.
Public Intoxication: A UT student was observed swaying as he walked in the roadway while holding a traffic safety cone on his shoulder. The student stated he was walking to his parked vehicle where he planned to drive home after drinking at a downtown bar. The student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.
1900 San Jacinto
Occurred between 8-19-05 at 12 midnight and 8-21-05 at 8:10 PM.
Burglary of Motor Vehicle: A UT Parking and Transportation issued A parking permit was stolen from an unsecured 2004 Hyundai while the vehicle was parked on the side of the road. Loss value: $10.00.
Union Building, #4 West Mall
Occurred on 8-20-05 at 5:10 PM.
Criminal Trespass / Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was found on the 3rd floor digging in a trashcan, eating discarded food items and throwing the food wrappers on the floor. The subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for pedestrian in the roadway, an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for public intoxication and an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for theft. In addition to other law enforcement action taken, the subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Occurred on 8-19-05 between 4:00 PM and 7:55 PM.
Leaving the Scene Collision: A masonry truck backed into the front bumper of a blue 2005 Mitsubishi that was parked on the east side of the roadway. The driver of the masonry truck left the scene without leaving driver information. A witness to the collision left a note on the struck vehicle to provide information about the collision. Repair cost: $800.00.
University Interscholastic League Bldg, 1701 Manor
Occurred on 8-22-05 at 12:05 AM.
Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found blocking the main entrance door as he slept in the doorway. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe
Discovered on 8-22-05 at 6:10 AM.
Graffiti: White paint and silver paint were used to write words on an east exterior wall of the building. Removal cost: $40.00.
Whitaker Fields, 51st Street and Guadalupe
Discovered on 8-19-05 at 9:00 AM.
Graffiti: A green marker and a silver paint pen were used to write illegible words on a handrail to a footbridge between the archery range and the soccer fields. Removal cost: $35.00.
1500 East 6th Street
Occurred on 8-22-05 at 1:45 AM.
Driving While Intoxicated / Public Intoxication: Two non-UT subjects were found in a vehicle that was blocking the roadway while a security guard spoke with the occupants of the vehicle. The subject in the drivers seat was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was deemed to be driving while intoxicated. The passenger of the vehicle was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.
400 East 15th Street
Occurred on 8-20-05 at 1:40 AM.
Driving While Intoxicated: A non-UT subject was stopped for speeding and running a red light while driving a black 2003 Lexus. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated.
Occurred at various times.
Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, The University of Texas Police Department responded to 21 alarm calls, 6 unsecured door reports, 4 suspicious activity reports, 1 stuck elevator report, 1 animal in vehicle report and 8 calls for service between 8-19-05 and 8-22-05.
