Music and Bates Recital Hall, 2405 Trinity
Occurred on 5-28-05 between 12 noon and 5:30 p.m.
Theft: A Bach Stradivarius trumpet was stolen when it was left in a trumpet case in an unsecured 3rd floor mezzanine hallway. Loss value: $1,500.00.
Crime Prevention Tip
This trumpet was stolen during the UIL Solo Ensemble competition. Any time there is an event in which large masses of people are hurrying from one place to another there is ample cause for confusion. Thieves thrive in this atmosphere, knowing that people are involved with their role in the event and tend not to watch their property or challenge the actions of others. During large events, be mindful of your property. Never leave your property unattended or unsecured.
