The University of Texas Police Department has interviewed someone who observed suspicious people in the Brackenridge Apartment complex during the time frame of the vehicle burglaries which occurred on 5-24-05. The subjects were described as being 4 or 5 Hispanic males in a dark blue vehicle. One of the male subjects had a shaved head. The subjects were last seen on 5-24-05 at 3:20 AM. Anyone having information concerning these subjects, the vehicle they were seen in or any information concerning the vehicle burglaries is encourage to call Sgt. Maga of the UTPD Criminal Investigations Unit at 232-9639.

Discovered on 5-24-05 at 11:25 p.m.
Graffiti: A white marker was used to write a word on the black plastic lid of a trashcan located on the southwest side of the building. White paint was used to write a similar word on an air vent on the northeast side of the building. Removal cost: $50.00.
Beauford H. Jester Center East, 203 East 21st Street
Discovered on 5-25-05 at 1:40 a.m.
Graffiti: A white permanent marker was used to draw a picture on two different picnic tables located on the west side of the building. Removal cost: $50.00.
Geology Building, #10 East Mall
Occurred on 5-24-05 between 8:45 a.m. and 9:05 a.m.
Theft: An Apple 21" flat screen computer monitor was stolen from an unsecured 5th floor room when a UT student left the room for 20 minutes. Loss value: $1,000.00.
Main Building, #1 South Mall
The theft of the football was discovered on 5-10-05, but was not reported to the police department. The theft of the speakers occurred between 5-21-05 and 5-24-05 at 2:00 p.m.
Theft: A miniature football commemorating the 2005 Rose Bowl game between The University of Texas at Austin football team and the Michigan football team and four Macintosh computer speakers were stolen from a 1st floor office. Loss value: $90.00.
J. T. Patterson Laboratories Building, 2415 Speedway
Discovered on 5-24-05 at 1:00 p.m.
Burglary of a Coin Operated Machine: The door to a coin operated machine inside a 4th floor women's restroom was pried open. At this time, it is unknown how much money or product was stolen from the machine. Repair cost: $50.00.
Occurred at various times.
Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 3 alarm calls, 6 unsecured doors, 2 suspicious activity reports, 1 collision, 1 light survey, 2 medical emergencies, 2 accidental damage reports and 3 public assist requests between 5-24-05 and 5-25-05.
