Occurred on 3-25-05 at 3:50 a.m.
Public Intoxication / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A non-UT subject was found unconscious inside the Blanton courtyard. Austin EMS treated the subject at the scene for alcohol poisoning. After regaining consciousness the subject was still disoriented.
Parking Lot 108, 1500 Block Red River
Occurred on 3-24-05 at 12:35 p.m.
Criminal Mischief: A UT staff member attempted to remove a tire immobilization device that had been affixed to his Ford Mustang for unpaid parking fines. While attempting to remove the device, he damaged the lock.
Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st Street
Occurred on 3-24-05 between 5:40 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.
Theft: A black and tan checkered purse containing $60.00 in US currency and several credit cards and identification cards was stolen from a first floor computer lab. The purse was left unattended for five minutes before the owner remembered that she had left it. Loss value $70.00.
200 Block East 24th Street
Occurred on 3-24-05 at 9:40 p.m.
Leaving the Scene Collision: An older model Toyota, leaving a parking spot located along the north curb line of East 24th Street, struck a Jeep Cherokee that was parked on the south curb line. The impact caused a 12 inch by 12 inch dent behind the left front tire. The driver of the Toyota failed to leave any required information upon striking an unattended vehicle. A witness to the collision was able to provide UT Police with a description and license plate number. Loss value unknown at this time.
300 Block East 23rd Street
Occurred on 3-21-05 between 5:55 p.m. and 6:18 p.m.
Theft: An orange leather purse containing $41.00 in US currency was stolen from the Cameron Road bus after being left unattended. The purse and several forms of identification were recovered. Loss Value: $41.00.
1900 Block San Jacinto Blvd.
Occurred on 3-24-05 at 11:35 p.m.
Possession of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle (3 Counts): UT Police Officers observed three non-UT subjects standing around a red Ford urinating. During the investigation, two cases of beer were discovered on the floor boards and three open containers containing an alcoholic beverage were found in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. One subject, while signing his citation, made a res gestae statement, "I'm guilty".
