Andrews Dormitory, 2401 Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 12-4-04 at 1:00 a.m.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor (2 counts): Two UT students, both under the age of 21, were found by the south main entrance to the building. One of the subjects was "passed out." Both subjects were found to have consumed alcoholic beverages.

Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 12-3-04 between 4:10 p.m. and 4:20 p.m.

Theft: A green Jack Wolfstein backpack containing a Dell Axim X50 Pocket PC, a textbook, a blue Mazuna windbreaker jacket and a wallet containing $40.00 cash and various credit and identification cards was stolen from an unsecured coin-operated locker located inside a 2nd floor men's locker room. Loss value: $1,050.00.

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st Street

Occurred on 12-6-04 at 12:36 a.m.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts)/ Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor (8 counts): Eight UT students, all under the age of 21, were found in a 5th floor dormitory room. All eight of the students were found to have consumed alcoholic beverages, and two of the eight students were found to be in possession of small glass pipes which contained burned marijuana residue.

Kinsolving Dormitory, 2605 Whitis Avenue

Occurred between 12-2-04 at 4:30 p.m. and 12-3-04 at 6:00 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: The air was let out of the right side tires of a Kia 400cc micro truck while it was parked on the north side of the dormitory.

Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center, 1900 Red River

Occurred on 12-3-04 between 6:00 p.m. and 12-3-04 at 9:00 p.m.

Theft: An envelope containing $92.00 in cash was stolen from a sport bag that was left in the bleachers near the swimmer's warm-up area. Loss value: $92.00.

Main Building, #1 South Mall

Occurred on 12-6-04 between 3:20 a.m. and 3:25 a.m.

Public Intoxication (2 counts): Two male subjects were reported as "running in the nude" around the building. Two UT students, who were wearing only their undergarments, were located near-by. The students admitted to running around the Main Building in celebration of their graduation but stated they were not completely disrobed. Both students were found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point they were a physical endangerment to themselves.

Pharmacy Building, 2409 University

Occurred between 12-2-04 at 4:00 p.m. and 12-3-04 at 9:35 a.m.

Graffiti: An unknown device was used to scratch letters in three different walls located inside a 2nd floor men's restroom. Repair cost: $130.00.

J.J. Pickle Research Campus, 10100 Burnet Road

Occurred between 12-3-04 at 5:30 p.m. and 12-4-04 at 12:30 p.m.

Theft: A black Compaq Presario, model 1700, laptop computer was stolen from an unsecured work cubicle located inside Bldg 160. Loss value: $900.00.

Robert A. Welch Hall, 105 East 24th Street

Reported on 12-3-04 at 10:06 a.m.

Theft: Two keys which operate numerous master locks in the building were signed-out to a UT student who failed to return the keys upon their due date and after the academic department requested the return of the keys.

1900 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 12-3-04 at 9:25 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: Two non-UT subjects were found camping underneath a bridge over Waller Creek. Both subjects were issued a written criminal trespass warning.

San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street

Occurred on 12-5-04 between 3:00 a.m. and 3:30 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: Unknown subjects pulled the handrail from the concrete wall located on the south side of the building. Repair cost: $250.00.

2300 Speedway

Occurred on 12-3-04 at 3:15 p.m.

Forgery / Assist Outside Agency / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: A non-UT subject was stopped after driving a blue Dodge 4-door through the pedestrian plaza. The subject produced an automobile proof of insurance form that had an expiration date that had been modified. The subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for a traffic violation. The subject was found to be in possession of a plastic straw which contained cocaine residue.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 12-4-04 at 1:40 a.m.

Criminal Trespass (2 counts) / Possession of Marijuana: Two non-UT subjects were found sleeping in chairs located inside a 3rd floor lounge after the building had been closed to the public. One of the two subjects was found to be in possession of a plastic bag containing marijuana.

Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 25 alarm calls, 19 unsecured door reports, 9 public assist calls, 1 lost property report, 1 collision report, 1 kitchen fire, and 5 suspicious activity reports between 12-03-04 and 12-06-04.
