Battle Hall, #1 West Mall

Occurred between 10-14-04 at 12 noon and 10-16-04.

Theft: A chrome GT Ricochet bicycle was stolen when it was "parked" at the bicycle racks located on the south side of the building. Loss value: $700.00.

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st Street

Reported on 10-27-04 at 1:51 p.m.

Suspicious Activity: An unidentified subject slid a hand-written note under the door of a 2nd floor Resident Assistant's dormitory room door. The note contained information about a non-UT subject who had threatened to cause serious bodily harm to a UT student. The suspect was later involved in an attempted theft out of Moore Hall Dormitory (see below).

Moore-Hill Dormitory, 214 East 21st Street

Occurred on 10-27-04 at 7:00 p.m.

Attempted Theft / Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject reported another non-UT subject, who had been an acquaintance of hers, attempted to steal one of her backpacks after the two had been in an argument in a 1st floor study lounge. The female subject claimed both she and the other non-UT subject had been "staying with" Moore Hall Dormitory residents. The female subject had previously been issued a written criminal trespass warning. The male subject was later found as a passenger in a vehicle that had been stopped for a traffic violation (see below).

Moore-Hill Dormitory, 214 East 21st Street

Occurred on 10-26-04 between 2:15 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Theft: A gray and black Dell Latitude D600 laptop computer was stolen from an unsecured 3rd floor dormitory room. Loss value: $1,850.00.

Sarah M. and Charles E. Seay Building, 108 East Dean Keeton

Occurred on 10-26-04 between 7:40 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Theft: A black leather two-fold wallet containing various credit and identification cards was stolen from a purse that was left in an unsecured 4th floor office. Loss value: $5.00.

1800 Trinity

Occurred on 10-27-04 at 10:30 p.m.

Failure to Identify / Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was stopped for driving a 2000 Honda the wrong way on a one-way roadway. A front seat passenger of the vehicle matched the description of a suspect involved in an attempted theft and a terroristic threat case earlier in the day. The subject initially provided the same name that witnesses to the previous cases provided to police officers. Once the subject's correct name and date of birth was established, it was discovered that the subject had an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for violation of conditions of release from detention.

201 West 7th Street

Occurred on 10-28-04 at 2:45 a.m.

Driving While Intoxicated: A non-UT subject was stopped for driving a white 2005 Daewoo 4-door the wrong way on a one-way roadway. The driver was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated.
