Occurred on 10-18-04 at 10:15 p.m.
Assault (Family Violence): A UT student and her husband, a non-UT subject, began to argue in their home over an issue concerning childcare. The husband struck his wife in the arm with a closed fist, squeezed her arm then pushed her out of his way as he fled the apartment.
Jesse H. Jones Communication Center, Building A, 2504 Whitis Avenue
Occurred on 10-18-04 at 4:40 p.m.
Criminal Trespass / Resisting Arrest: A non-UT subject was reported in a 6th floor office that was closed to the public. The reporting person knew the subject as a person who had previously been issued a written criminal trespass warning for the building. The subject was found on the northwest side of the building. The subject passively resisted by refusing to walk to a patrol vehicle and had to be carried by several police officers.
Joe C. Thompson Conference Center, 2405 Robert Dedman Drive
Occurred on 10-18-04 at 7:00 p.m.
Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was found stumbling in a service drive located on the south side of the building. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.
Kinsolving Dormitory, 2605 Whitis Avenue
Occurred on 10-18-04 at 1:55 p.m.
Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found entering the dormitory through a card reader controlled stairwell exit door after a resident exited the dormitory through the same door. The subject stated he was "visiting a friend," but was unable to provide the friend's name. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Parking Lot 117, 1900 Comal Street
Occurred between 10-19-04 between 2:15 a.m. and 3:30 a.m.
Criminal Mischief: A rock was used to break the front right window of a red 1998 Ford 4-door while it was parked in the Parking Lot. At this time, it is unknown if any items were stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $125.00.
27th Street Garage, 109 West 27th Street
Occurred on 10-14-04 between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Theft: The front license plate was stolen from a red 2004 Nissan Quest that was parked on level 2. Loss value: $10.00.
Occurred at various times.
Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 14 alarm calls, 2 unsecured door reports, 4 suspicious activity reports, 1 found property report and 1 call for a key assist between 10-18-04 and 10-19-04.
