Brazos Garage, 210 East Martin Luther King Blvd.

Occurred on 10-14-04 at 1:55 a.m.

Evading Arrest or Detention / Possession of Marijuana / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: A UT student was found loitering in an enclosed stairwell with another unidentified male subject. As a UT police officer approached the subjects, the student began to run from the officer. The student threw an object he had been holding. The officer pursued the student for several blocks before apprehending him. The object the student had thrown was a cloth bag that contained marijuana and a small pipe with burned marijuana residue. The student has been handled for marijuana offenses on two prior occasions within the past year.

Experimental Science Building, 100 East 24th Street

Occurred between 10-8-04 at 4:30 p.m. and 10-11-04 at 8:00 a.m.

Theft: A 17" Apple flat screen computer monitor was stolen from a 1st floor workroom. Loss value: $300.00.

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st Street

Occurred between 10-12-04 at 11:00 a.m. and 10-13-04 at 4:45 p.m.

Harassment: An unidentified female caller has placed several unwanted and annoying telephone calls to a ground floor resident's dormitory telephone. The caller claimed to be conducting a survey for a UT project, but refused to remove the resident's telephone number from her call list and stated she would continue to call the resident. The resident trapped the caller's telephone number by using the *57 feature of the dormitory room's campus telephone.

Townes Hall, 727 East Dean Keeton

Occurred on 10-13-04 between 9:50 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.

Theft: A black wallet was stolen from a backpack that was left next to a desk in an unsecured 3rd floor office. The wallet was later located inside a recycling bin, and cash had been stolen. Loss value: $2.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 10-13-04 between 5:30 p.m. and 6:10 p.m.

Theft: A blue plastic pencil bag containing 160 unsold $15.00 tickets for a public speech, $65.00 cash and a personal check for $10.00 was stolen when it was left on a table in an unsecured 2nd floor hallway. Loss value: $65.00.

Waller Creek

Occurred on 10-13-04 at 4:10 p.m.

Possession of Marijuana / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: Two UT students were found loitering in the creek. One of the students was found to be in possession of a plastic bag containing marijuana and a small brass pipe that contained burned marijuana residue.

Occurred at various times.

Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 9 alarm calls, 1 unsecured door report, 4 suspicious activity reports, 1 motor vehicle collision, 1 report of a stuck elevator, 1 light survey and 2 calls for key assists between 10-13-04 and 10-14-04.
