Battle Hall, #1 West Mall
Occurred on 9-1-04 at 3:40 p.m.
Criminal Trespass / Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was found in a 1st floor room that is reserved for faculty, staff and students. The subject was found to have two outstanding outside agency arrest warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition to other law enforcement action taken, the subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
E. P. Schoch Building, #6 East Mall
Discovered on 9-2-04 at 3:00 a.m.
Graffiti: Yellow spray paint was used to write illegible words on a brass building sign located on the south side of the building. Removal cost: $50.00.
Beauford H. Jester Center East, 203 East 21st Street
Occurred on 9-1-04 between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
Harassment: A UT staff member received nine unwanted and offensive telephone calls from an acquaintance of hers.
Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st Street
Occurred on 9-1-04 between 12:30 p.m. and 4:55 p.m.
Theft: A brown leather wallet containing $30.00 and various identification cards was stolen from a purse located in an unsecured 3rd floor dormitory room. The wallet was later turned into the Jester Center West lost and found. An identification card was stolen from the wallet. Loss value: $35.00.
Main Building, #1 South Mall
Occurred between 8-26-04 at 5:00 p.m. and 9-1-04 at 8:00 a.m.
Theft: A black 17" Dell flat screen computer monitor was stolen from a 1st floor office that was left unsecured for one week. Loss value: $400.00.
J. T. Patterson Laboratories Building, 2415 Speedway
Occurred on 9-1-04 at 8:40 a.m.
Theft: A UT student entered a 1st floor laboratory and observed an unidentified subject remove a bottle from a storage cabinet and place it in a backpack. The subject stated he had placed a pair of sunglasses in his backpack and that he was in the area to visit a friend. The subject was described as a white male, 20 to 25 years of age, 5'10" tall, 180 pounds, black hair, some facial hair, a tattoo on his left upper arm and wearing a faded blue button down shirt with a "serpentine dragon" print on the back of the shirt, black knee length shorts and a silver chain necklace.
Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st Street
Discovered on 9-1-04 at 8:20 a.m.
Graffiti: Green spray paint was used to write illegible words on a sign located on the east side of the building. Removal cost: $50.00.
2500 San Jacinto Blvd.
Occurred on 9-1-04 at 7:15 p.m.
Assist Outside Agency: A UT student was stopped for running a stop sign while driving a green 1997 Honda Civic. The student was found to have four outstanding outside agency arrest warrants for traffic violations and one outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for theft by check.
T. U. Taylor Hall, #8 East Mall
Occurred between 8-31-04 at 2:30 p.m. and 9-1-04 at 7:00 a.m.
Graffiti: A black permanent marker was used to write illegible words on the pop-up awnings to the O's Caf catering cart located on the south side of the building. Removal cost: $50.00.
200 West 22nd Street
Occurred on 9-1-04 between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
Leaving the Scene Collision: A UT student struck a parked 2004 Mazda 3 while driving a 1992 Jeep Cherokee. The student left the scene without leaving notice on the vehicle that was struck. Repair cost: $150.00.
