Occurred between 8-16-04 at 5:00 p.m. and 8-17-04 at 9:00 a.m.
Theft: An iMac G4 computer with a flat panel monitor was stolen from a work cubicle in an unsecured 2nd floor room. Loss value: $1,600.00.
Jesse H. Jones Communication Center, Bldg A, 2504 Whitis Avenue
Occurred on 8-17-04 7:40 a.m.
Public Lewdness: A UT staff member reported an unidentified subject approached her from behind and grabbed her right breast with one hand and her left lower posterior with his other hand as she entered the south lobby on the 3rd floor. After the staff member yelled, the subject looked at her for a few seconds then fled the building through the 3rd floor lobby doors. The subject is described as a white male, approximately 5'6" tall, thin build, approximately 120 to 125 pounds, 17 to 19 years of age, clean shaven, short dark brown hair, having a mole on his left cheek near his eye and wearing a black baseball cap, a black short sleeve t-shirt with white lettering on the front of the shirt and royal blue "jogging pants" that did not have elastic in the pant leg cuffs.
Main Building, #1 South Mall
Occurred on 8-17-04 between 2:45 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Graffiti: Silver spray paint was used to write words on the east exterior wall of the building. Removal cost: $150.00. The words written in this graffiti case are similar to words written in other graffiti cases around the UT Campus over the past few days. Anyone having information pertaining to this case or other graffiti cases on campus are encouraged to call The University of Texas police department at 471-4441.
Parking Lot 108, 1500 Red River
Occurred between 8-16-04 at 5:00 p.m. and 8-17-04 at 1:30 a.m.
Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The lock to a left side front vent window to a green 1996 Ford Windstar van was broken while the vehicle was parked in the middle of the lot. A bag containing miscellaneous clothing items was stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $50.00. Loss value: $100.00.

Occurred on 8-18-04 at 6:45 a.m.
Criminal Trespass: A contractor who was working on the UT campus reported a non-UT subject had attempted to sell him a cordless telephone, which is a violation of UT Regents' Rules and Regulations concerning solicitation. The subject had previously been issued a written criminal trespass warning.
