Occurred on 7-25-04 at 10:00 p.m.
Public Intoxication / Criminal Trespass / Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was found yelling at pedestrians near the traffic control kiosk. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself. The subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for public intoxication. In addition to other law enforcement action taken, the subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Colorado Apartments, 2501 Lake Austin Blvd.
Occurred on 7-23-04 at 11:52 a.m.
Assist Outside Agency: A white Ford F-150 pick-up truck that had been reported stolen to the City of Austin Police Department was located in a Parking Lot by Building G. Recovery value: $10,000.00.
Goldsmith Hall, #5 West Mall
Occurred on 7-25-04 at 5:30 p.m.
Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on the east side of the building. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Graduate School of Business, 100 West 21st Street
Occurred on 7-26-04 at 5:35 a.m.
Criminal Trespass: A male non-UT subject was observed exiting the building. An unidentified pedestrian advised a UT Police Officer the male subject had been inside a 2nd floor women's restroom. The subject had previously been issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st Street
Occurred on 7-24-04 between 6:50 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Theft: A summer camp participant entered her unsecured 3rd floor dormitory room to find an unidentified female subject "looking around the room." The subject advised the camp participant she had not stolen anything and offered her bag for examination. After finding nothing in the subject's bag, the camper allowed the subject to leave. After the subject left the room, the camper discovered her LG cellular telephone and $10.00 had been stolen from the room. The subject was described as a black female in her 30's, 5'7" tall, 200 lbs, dark complexion, shoulder length hair, gold caps on her front teeth, wearing a navy blue t-shirt and blue jean shorts. Loss value: $110.00.
L. Theo Bellmont Hall, 2109 San Jacinto Blvd.
Occurred on 7-24-04 at 12:20 p.m.
Criminal Trespass: A UT staff member observed a non-UT subject coming out of an 8th floor office. The staff member reported the subject to the police department after learning the person assigned the office did not know anyone who matched the description of the subject. UT police officers located the subject on the north side of the building. The subject stated he was in the office "using the telephone." At this time, no items have been discovered as stolen. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Parking Lot 104, 1900 North IH-35
Occurred on 7-24-04 at 10:15 p.m.
Places Weapons Prohibited / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: A non-UT subject was found sitting in a parked vehicle. A 24" wood baton was observed inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle. In addition to the wood baton, the subject was found to be in possession of a two-inch long double-edged knife, and a small metal pipe with burned marijuana residue in the bowl of the pipe.
Peter T. Flawn Academic Center, #2 West Mall
Occurred on 7-25-04 between 2:00 p.m. and 3:20 p.m.
Suspicious Person: A UT student reported an unidentified subject approached him in the lobby of the library and initiated a conversation. The subject made several odd comments including a reference to hurting himself. The subject asked if the student had money. The subject left the area after learning the student did not have any cash. The subject was described as a black male, approximately 30 years old, 5'11" to 6' tall, 180 pounds, short black hair, mustache, beard, wearing tan cargo pants, yellow boots, a gray t-shirt over a white t-shirt and walked with a limp.

Criminal Trespass / Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was found placing flyers on parked vehicles, which is a violation of UT Regents' Rules and Regulations concerning solicitation. The subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for public intoxication. In addition to other law enforcement action taken, the subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
San Jacinto Street and 23rd Street
Occurred on 7-25-04 at 2:00 a.m.
Driving While Intoxicated: The driver of a silver Mazda 4-door was stopped after driving in excess of the posted speed limit and crossing the center line. The driver was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point she was driving while intoxicated.
Occurred on 7-23-04 at 7:45 a.m.
Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was found loitering underneath a bridge located in the 1800 block of Trinity. The subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for theft.
Union Building, #4 West Mall
Occurred between 7-21-04 at 10:00 a.m. and 7-23-04 at 9:00 a.m.
Theft: A taupe colored beaded necklace, a pair of taupe colored earrings and two bars of perfumed soap were stolen from an unsecured 3rd floor lounge. Loss value: $28.00.
University of Texas Elementary School, 2200 East 6th Street
Occurred on 7-23-04 at 8:30 p.m.
Public Intoxication / Public Intoxication (substance): Two non-UT subjects were found "passed out" on the railroad tracks located on the east side of the school. Both subjects were found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. One of the subjects was also found to have inhaled the fumes of a cleaning solvent. Both subjects were found to be under the influence of alcohol and other substances to the point Austin EMS needed to transport them to a local emergency room for alcohol poisoning and drug overdose.
