Goldsmith Hall, #5 West Mall

Occurred between 4-9-04 at 8:00 p.m. and 4-11-04 at 11:00 a.m.

Theft: A pink "Flying Piggy" bank containing approximately $30.00 in change was stolen from a 3rd floor studio. Loss value: $31.00.

Main Building, #1 South Mall

Occurred on 4-12-04 at 9:30 a.m.

Harassment: A UT staff member, who had previously been involved in a minor collision, has received several annoying telephone calls to his 21st floor office in reference to the collision.

Parking Lot 110, 2200 Comal Street

Occurred between 4-10-04 at 6:00 a.m. and 4-11-04 at 11:30 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: An unknown object was used to cut the Master Key lock attached to the cable that secures the Parking Lot after hours. The cable was also damaged in an apparent attempt to cut it. Loss value $15.00.

Parking Lot 110, 2200 Comal Street

Occurred on 4-12-04 at 6:00 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle / Evading Arrest: A non-UT subject was seen crouching next to a 1995 red Dodge Neon. During an investigation, UTPD officers discovered that the dashboard had been removed from the vehicle and lay on the passenger side floorboard, pry marks were found on the partially removed stereo and a screwdriver was found underneath the Neon. A 1989 gray Acura, parked nearby, was found to have had the car stereo removed and placed on the floor in the backseat, along with a second screwdriver. After being questioned, the subject tried to run from UTPD officers. Repair cost: $150.00.

West Mall Office Building, #3 West Mall

Occurred on 4-12-04 between 6:00 p.m. and 7:10 p.m.

Theft: A 24" black DK Fury Cruiser bicycle was stolen from the north side bicycle rack where it was secured with a cable lock. The bicycle was described as having a "Hello Kitty" sticker on the center of the handle bars, a Canadian flag sticker on the crossbar, a red and silver bell, and multicolored plastic in the spokes to make noise. Loss value: $100.

100 East Martin Luther King Blvd.

Occurred between 4-9-04 at 4:00 p.m. and 4-12-04 at 7:00 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: An unknown subject cut a 30-foot section of PVC pipe that provided water to a construction trailer. Loss value: $100.00.

2100 to 2400 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred between 4-9-04 at 12:01 p.m. and 4-12-04 at 6:45 a.m.

Theft / Criminal Mischief: Nine yellow signs used to indicate parking space closures were stolen from their posted locations by unknown subjects. A tenth sign was found torn in half. Loss value: $250.00.
