Occurred on 1-29-04 between 6:30 p.m. and 1-30-04 at 12:00 a.m.
Burglary: A twin-sized mattress was taken from a student's secured dormitory room while he was at work. His roommate was "in and out all evening and didn't notice the mattress missing". Loss value: $10.00.
Parking Lot 104, 1900 Block N IH-35
Occurred between 1-17-04 at 2:00 p.m. and 1-29-04 at 5:00 p.m.
Theft: The silver front chrome grill was stolen off a black 2000 GMC Sierra. No other damage was noted to the vehicle. Loss value: $200.00.
Parking Lot 117, 1901 Comal Street
Occurred between 1-28-04 at 12:45 p.m. and 1-29-04 at 9:40 a.m.
Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The passenger's side door window was broken on a white 1997 Isuzu Hombre, and a Pioneer single disc CD/AM/FM stereo was stolen. Repair cost: $150.00. Loss value: $25.00.
Sarah M. and Charles E. Seay Building, 108 East Dean Keeton
Occurred between 5-03 and 1-29-04.
Suspicious Activity: A male subject has been calling female students, claiming to be either working for a psychology professor, or a psychology professor himself, offers the students money to participate in a questionnaire, and keeps them on the phone for hours, asking them odd questions. The subject reportedly knows personal and confidential information (email address, major, grades, etc.) about the women he speaks with.
Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe
Discovered on 1-30-04 at 2:07 a.m.
Graffiti: A red paint pen was used to write possible gang-related symbols on the east side of the building. Removal cost: $50.00.
200 Block E. 24th Street
Occurred on 1-29-04 at 11:20 a.m.
Leaving the Scene Collision: A red 1997 Ford was seen backing out of a parking space and into the left front quarter panel of a legally parked 1999 White Acura. The driver of the Ford left the scene without leaving notice. The accident was witnessed by several people, who provided information to the owner of the damaged vehicle. Repair cost: Unknown at this time.
