Occurred on 01-12-04 between 12:32 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Theft: A brown vinyl make-up case with a pink "L" on the outside cover that contained $60.00, a credit card, a key ring and various identification cards was stolen when it was left in an unsecured 2nd floor classroom. Loss value: $80.00.
2400 to 2600 Block of Speedway
On 01-13-04 at approximately 11:30 p.m. and on 01-14-04 between 11:30 p.m. and 12 midnight.
Suspicious Person: In the first incident, an unidentified subject approached a UT student and claimed to need money for gasoline. The student offered to lend the subject a credit card. After the subject refused the use of the credit card, the student gave the subject a dollar. The subject was described as a Hispanic male, in his early 30's, 5'7" tall, slim build wearing a dark colored button-up shirt and dark-colored slacks. The subject possibly drives a brown colored 4-door sport utility vehicle. In the second case, a subject matching the same description who claimed to be a UT alumnus approached a UT student and asked for money to buy gasoline. The student gave the subject $15.00 with the promise that the subject would return the money.
