Occurred on 11-5-03 at 5:10 p.m.
Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was stopped after attempting to enter a closed movie set. The subject stated he was testing to see how far he could get onto the movie set before being stopped. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Union Building, #4 West Mall
Occurred between 11-5-03 at 10:00 p.m. and 11-6-03 at 1:30 a.m.
Theft: A DVD player (brand name unknown at this time) was stolen while it was left on the stage of the 2nd floor theatre. The DVD player was being used to show a free screening of a movie. Loss value: $100.00.
Occurred on 11-05-03 at 11:20 a.m.
Criminal Trespass (14 counts): Five non-UT subjects were found on the West Mall using amplified sound without the proper permit to conduct a protest. The amplified sound interrupted several courses being taught in the surrounding buildings. Nine other non-UT subjects with the same organization were found in various locations from 21st Street and Speedway to 24th Street and Whitis Avenue passing out flyers in violation of UT Regents' Rules and Regulations. All of the subjects were advised to leave the campus and each subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Whitaker Fields, 51st Street and Guadalupe
Occurred on 11-5-03 between 8:30 a.m. and 11:55 a.m.
Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right front passenger window was broken out of a gold 1996 Buick 4-door while it was parked on the west side of Whitaker Fields. A Sony X-Plod AM/FM/CD player with an LCD display and a compact disc case containing 60 compact discs were stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $150.00. Loss value: $550.00.
