Occurred on 10-13-03 at 9:15 p.m.
Assault / Robbery: An unidentified subject grabbed a female student causing the student to fall off the bicycle she was riding. The subject then grabbed the student's chest. The student punched the subject "in the face." The subject stole the student's bicycle and fled northbound on the bicycle. The subject was described as a black male, in his 30's, approximately 6' tall, 130 pounds, light complexion, wearing a baseball cap, a dark shirt and shorts. The stolen bicycle is described as a black hybrid bicycle (mountain bike with thinner tires). Loss value: $100.00.
Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st Street
Occurred on 10-14-03 at 12:38 a.m.
Theft: Four UT students were found inside a 3rd floor dormitory room while in possession of three stolen Austin area street signs and one stolen privately owned street sign. Recovery value: $350.00.
San Antonio Garage, 2420 San Antonio
Occurred between 10-9-03 at 3:00 p.m. and 10-13-03 at 10:45 a.m.
Graffiti: A black permanent marker was used to write words on an exterior door located on the north side of the building. Removal cost: $50.00.
Speedway and 21st Street
Occurred on 10-13-03 at 8:55 a.m.
Criminal Trespass / Failure to Identify / Assist Outside Agency / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: A non-UT subject was found asking people for money, a violation of UT Regents' Rules and Regulations regarding soliciting. The subject initially gave police officers a false name. Once the subject provided his correct name, it was discovered that the subject had an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for the possession of drug paraphernalia. The subject was also found to be in possession of two glass pipes that contained cocaine residue.
