Art Building and Museum, 2301 San Jacinto Blvd.

Discovered on 5-27-03 at 9:49 a.m.

Graffiti: Blue, white, red and black spray paint were used to create several patterns and a letter on the brick and cement patio located on the northwest side of the building. The patterns are the outline of different objects as if the objects were leaned against the wall and spray painted. Removal cost: $150.00.

Development Office Building, 2901 North IH-35

Occurred on 5-23-03 at 11:45 p.m.

Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was found passed out in a third floor office, due to alcohol poisoning to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself. The subject had his spouse's office keys and had been trying to turn on her computer.

Parking Lot 108, 1500 Red River

Occurred on 5-23-03 at 5:10 p.m.

Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle / Theft: A yellow 2003 GMC Sierra 250 pick-up truck, with Hensel Phelps construction logos and stripping, was stolen from a fenced-in construction site. The keys were left in the ignition of the unsecured vehicle. An unidentified subject was seen driving the truck westbound on 15th Street. The subject is described as a black male, 6' tall, 170 pounds, "clean cut," in his 30's, short hair, wearing a white sleeveless t-shirt and dark colored knee-length shorts. The pick-up truck was later located at an off-campus location. An Excel pressure washer model 3540CWHP and a Wacker plate tamper were stolen out of the bed of the pick-up truck. Loss value: $3,000.00.

Occurred on 5-24-03 at 1:22 a.m.

Operation of a Motor Vehicle While Under Suspension: A vehicle driven by a non-UT subject was stopped for failure to stop at a stop sign. The driver was operating the vehicle while under a drivers license suspension.

George I. Sánchez Building, 1912 Speedway

Occurred on 5-21-03 between 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Theft: A brown leather multi-compartment purse containing various credit cards was stolen out of a black canvas bag when it was left by a desk in an unsecured 4th floor office. When the owner cancelled her credit cards, she discovered one credit card had already been used at a local store. The amount charged on the credit card is unknown at this time. Loss value: $10.00.

Sid Richardson Hall #3, 2300 Red River Street

Occurred on 5-23-03 between 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Theft: A red Trek 24-speed with a torn black seat and 15 stickers on it was stolen from a bicycle rack located on the west side of the building while it was secured with a U-lock. Loss value: $150.00.

Townes Hall, 727 East Dean Keeton Street

Occurred on 5-24-03 at 6:30 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found rummaging through an ashtray and trashcan on the east patio. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
