Burglary of Coin-Operated Machine: UT police observed three UT students stealing produce from a third floor atrium vending machine by inserting an object into the machine. Subjects stated that they were burglarizing the machine because "they had seen other people doing it." Loss value: $2.00.

Occurred on 5-13-03 at 1:30 p.m.
Leaving the Scene Collision: A tan 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck backed into an illegally parked and unattended 1999 Nissan that was parked along the east curbline. The pickup truck was being operated by an unidentified white male subject, approximately 50 to 60 years of age with grey hair. The subject drove away from the area without leaving notice. Repair cost: $500.00.
San Antonio Garage, 2420 San Antonio
Occurred on 5-13-03 at 4:45 p.m.
Criminal Trespass / Assist An Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was found sleeping north of the elevators on level five. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning. Subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for illegally crossing a roadway in mid-block.
San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street
Occurred on 5-13-03 between 1:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
Criminal Mischief: Two residents of a second floor south tower dormitory room stated that they left their dormitory room unsecured overnight and when they returned they found 63 BB holes throughout the room. Evidence indicated that the BB gun was fired from inside the room. BB holes were found in the walls, door, door "peep-hole", glass window, and light fixtures. Expensive personal items like televisions and computer monitors were not damaged. Repair cost: $1,000.00.
University Teaching Center, 105 West 21st Street
Discovered on 5-13-03 at 11:21 p.m.
Graffiti: An orange felt marker and a black pen were used to write several remarks on a wall in a second floor men's restroom. Removal cost: $75.00.
