Claudia Taylor Johnson Hall PLAZA, 210 West 6th Street

Occurred on 4-17-03 at 2:34 a.m.

Assault / Public Intoxication (2 Counts): UT police observed a non-UT male and female arguing and then observed the female push the male in the forehead as they walked across the street resulting in the male momentarily losing his balance. They were arguing because the female was supposed to be the designated driver and she had drunk too much alcohol. Both subjects were found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point they were an endangerment to themselves.

Engineering Teaching Center, 204 East Dean Keeton

Occurred on 4-16-03 at 6:15 p.m.

Harassing Communication: Several telephone calls were received in a second floor study lounge. The unknown caller was a very young male who attempted to lower his voice to sound older. The caller would mumble while using abusive and profane words. While UT police were at the scene taking this report, another call was received. The caller again mumbled and used profane language. When the officer identified himself, the caller hung up. The officer hit "star 57" and trapped the call which identified the number the call was made from. A follow-up investigation is pending.

Garrison Hall, #3 East Mall

Occurred on 4-16-03 at 4:50 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A UT student was found loitering for a lengthy period of time in a ground floor men's restroom without using the facilities. Subject had no official reason to be in the building and had received a prior verbal warning about loitering in the same restroom. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

L. Theo Bellmont Hall, 2109 San Jacinto Blvd.

Discovered on 4-17-03 at 3:16 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: Pink chalk was used to write a web address on the west exterior wall and steps. Removal cost: $20.00.

LBJ Fountain

Occurred on 4-16-03 at 6:38 p.m.

Indecent Exposure / Criminal Trespass: A UT student was found swimming nude in the fountain while friends took pictures of him. The student was not aware of the electrical lines in the fountain that created a health risk. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 4-16-03 between 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Theft: A backpack was stolen from beside a couch in the 3rd floor loggia while the owner was asleep on the couch. The backpack was later found in the south 3rd floor men's restroom. A set of keys and a Sanyo cellular telephone had been stolen from the backpack. Loss value: $50.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Discovered on 4-17-03 at 3:09 a.m.

Graffiti: A black felt marker and a sharp instrument were used to draw and etch words and drawings on a wall in a third floor men's restroom. Removal cost: $150.00.
