Art Building and Museum, 2301 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred between 3-17-03 at 3:00 p.m. and 3-18-02 at 9:30 a.m.

Graffiti - Criminal Episode: A black felt marker was used to write anti-war remarks on walls in two men's restrooms on the third floor and one men's restroom on the fourth floor. A can of white paint was thrown on a sign that was posted on a wall in a third floor room. The sign listed the penal code definition for graffiti. A black felt marker was used to draw a lewd figure and write a remark by the posted sign. The handwriting was the same in all four locations. Removal cost: $600.00.

Calhoun Hall, #4 South Mall

Occurred on 3-18-03 at 5:30 p.m.

Criminal Trespass / Assist an Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was found in a first floor room that is reserved for students, faculty and staff. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning. Subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for theft.

Garrison Hall, #3 East Mall

Occurred on 3-18-03 at 5:15 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found on the ground floor in an area that is reserved for students, faculty and staff. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Jesse H. Jones Communication Center, Building A, 2504A Whitis Avenue

Occurred between 3-13-03 at 9:00 a.m. and 3-17-03 at 4:30 p.m.

Theft: An Infocus LP790 LCD projector was stolen from a ceiling mount in an unsecured seventh floor training room. Loss value: $3000.00.

Kinsolving Dormitory, 2605 Whitis Avenue

Occurred between 12-5-02 and 3-19-03 at 12:01 a.m.

Harassing Communication / Stalking: A non-UT subject, who was an acquaintance of a first floor resident has been making repeated harassing telephone calls to the resident's room after being told not to call anymore. During the stalking period the subject has gained entry into the dormitory by convincing another resident to let him in so he could "surprise his girlfriend." During that incident the subject left an obscene note on the first floor resident's door. Subject has beaten on the resident's dormitory window from the outside. During spring break the subject was seen loitering outside the resident's parent's house that is located in another city. Subject has been involved in incidents of physical violence that could have resulted in life threatening injuries. Subject was issued a criminal trespass warning by UT police on 3-6-03 on the southeast side of the dormitory. Subject is described as white male, 19 years of age, 6', 200 pounds. Subject has short brown hair with gold hi-lights. Subject has green eyes and wears glasses. Subject drives a white 2001, 2 door, Pontiac Grand-Am.

Living Learning Center B, 2610 Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 3-17-03 between 4:30 p.m. and 4:36 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: The exterior stairwell of door 101, that is located in the southwest part of the building, had its door closure device damage when it was pulled from the ceiling. Repair cost: $100.00.

Moore-Hill Dormitory, 214 East 21st Street

Occurred on 3-19-03 between 1:10 a.m. and 1:30 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: A dry chemical fire extinguisher was discharged in a basement room that used to be a computer lab. Replacement/Clean-up Cost: $30.00.

Parking Lot 113, 2200 Comal Street

Occurred between 3-8-03 at 12:05 a.m. and 3-14-03 at 12 noon.

Criminal Mischief: The left side window was broken out of a 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck while it was parked in the center of the Parking Lot. Nothing was stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $300.00.

Townes Hall, 727 East Dean Keeton

Discovered on 3-17-03 at 3:00 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: The sheet metal back on one corner of a sheet metal exhaust duct in a secured second floor mechanical room had been pried back to allow someone to look down into stalls of an adjacent women's restroom. Mechanical room keys are issued to Physical Plant employees. This type of criminal mischief had occurred at the same location approximately 18 months ago. Modifications were made to the exhaust duct to prevent this from reoccurring. Repair cost: $200.00.
