Art Building and Museum, 2301 San Jacinto Blvd.
Occurred between January, 2003 and 3-14-03 at 8:00 a.m.
Graffiti: Red and black permanent felt markers along with a yellow grease marker has been used to write a name in numerous locations in the building. Areas most commonly targeted are men's restrooms, corridor walls, furniture, vending machines, doors and elevator walls. Removal cost: $400.00.

Discovered on 3-12-03 at 9:00 a.m.
Criminal Mischief: A paper notice that listed the legal definition and penalties for graffiti was posted on a wall in elevator #2 under a clear sheet of plastic secured with four wood screws. The notice was set on fire and part of the paper and plastic sheet burned. Several notices had been posted throughout the building due to recent acts of vandalism involving graffiti. Replacement cost: $5.00.
Chilling Station No. 2, 2315 Speedway
Occurred between 3-15-03 at 9:30 p.m. and 3-16-03 at 12:20 a.m.
Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle: A Carryall 2 Clubcar golf-cart appeared to have been pushed from the Parking Lot on the south side of the building to the sidewalk on the west side of Russell A. Steindam Hall, a distance of approximately 150 yards.
Ernest Cockrell Jr. Hall, 301 East Dean Keeton
Occurred on 3-15-03 at 10:00 p.m.
Suspicious Activity: A UT student was working in a first floor office when he heard the office door open and close. When the student stepped out into the lobby he observed an unknown subject in the lobby. The unknown subject appeared startled when he observed the student and has been seen in the building several times but never late at night. The unknown subject fits the general description of a subject who assaulted a UT staff member in J. T. Patterson Laboratories Building in the Fall of 2002. Subject was described as a black male, 35 to 40 years of age, 6', thin build with black hair and brown eyes. Subject was last seen wearing a dark nylon cap, black sweater, grey stripped long-sleeve shirt, dark "Chino" (loose fitting) pants and "black sneakers."
Frank C. Erwin Special Events Center, 1701 Red River
Occurred on 3-14-03 at 4:55 a.m.
Criminal Trespass, Criminal Mischief, Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT student, under the age of 21, was found unconscious due to alcohol poisoning in a north side box office. Entry into the box office was gained when a steel security panel was used to completely break out a glass windowpane. Repair cost: $300.00.
Jesse H. Jones Communication Center Building A, 2504A Whitis Avenue
Discovered on 3-14-03 at 11:45 p.m.
Burglary of Coin-Operated Machine: A Pepsi Cola vending machine in the building's garage was broken into when the door was pried open. An empty coin box and dollar bill box were found on top of the machine. Repair cost: $300.00. Loss value: Unknown at this time.
Kinsolving Dormitory, 2605 Whitis Avenue
Occurred from 3-5-03 at 10:00 p.m. to 3-6-03 at 4:00 a.m.
Criminal Trespass / Harassing Communication: A non-UT subject, who was an acquaintance of a first floor resident, made repeated telephone calls to the resident's room after being told not to call anymore. Calls were received between 3-5-03 at 10:00 pm to 3-6-03 at 3:33 am. At approximately 2:00 am, the unknown subject was seen outside the resident's window banging on the window. On 3-6-03 at 4:00 am the non-UT subject was found on the southeast side of the building. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Music Building East, 2405 Trinity
Occurred on 3-15-03 at 6:25 p.m.
Criminal Trespass: A UT student was found on the second floor at a time the building was closed and should have only been occupied by subjects in possession of authorized building keys. Subject had received a prior verbal trespass warning. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Parking Lot 104, East Frontage of the 1900 block of North IH-35
Occurred on 3-14-03 between 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Theft of Motor Vehicle: A grey 1992 Chevrolet Blazer with a broken out rear window was stolen from the center portion of the Parking Lot. A Capital Metro bus driver observed the vehicle being driven out of the Parking Lot on 3-14-03 between 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm but did not observe who was driving the vehicle. On 3-15-03 at approximately 10:30 pm the vehicle was found abandoned in the 1200 block of Tinninford Road, which is located in the east Riverside area.
Townes Hall, 727 East Dean Keeton
Occurred on 3-15-03 at 5:25 p.m.
Criminal Trespass: Two non-UT subjects were found on the second floor in an area that was reserved for students, faculty and staff. Subjects were issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Union Building, #4 West Mall
Occurred on 3-14-03 between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Disruptive Activity: An unknown subject separately approached three staff members in regard to taking an informal class on anger management. Subject was described as being very condescending and was reportedly "yelling and screaming at the staff members." Subject was not allowed to take the class because of the demands he wanted met before he enrolled in the class. Subject was described as a white male, 55 to 58 years of age, 6'1", thin to medium build, with grey hair and a grey mustache. Subject was last seen wearing a UT baseball cap and a UT windbreaker.

Occurred on 3-14-03 at 6:45 p.m.
Soliciting / Assist an Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was identified stopping people and asking them for money. Subject was found to have two outstanding outside agency arrest warrants for theft and failure to appear in court on a public intoxication arrest.
