Parking Lot 109, 2200 Leona Street

Occurred on 2-4-03 from 9:15 a.m. to 11:02 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The passenger window was broken out of a red Kia that was parked in the Parking Lot. A flip face Clarion CD player was stolen from the dashboard. The vehicle was parked in the Parking Lot on 2-4-03 at 9:15 am. When the owner returned to the vehicle on 2-4-03 at 11:05 am she saw two non-UT juvenile subjects loitering near her vehicle. Both subjects began running from the area.

On 2-4-03 at 11:02 p.m., UT police stopped a white 1995 Ford Taurus in the 2200 block of Manor after receiving a suspicious vehicle report in Parking Lot 109. Two non-UT subjects occupied vehicle. One was a juvenile. The vehicle contained 14 CD players, 6 amplifiers, 2 12-inch speakers, 7 truck speakers and 9 CD cases containing CD's. It was immediately determined that one of the CD players had been stolen from the red Kia and another CD player had been stolen in a motor vehicle burglary that had occurred on city property. At 11:52 am UT police found two juvenile subjects in the 1300 block of east Martin Luther King Blvd. The owner of the red Kia identified them as the subjects seen running away. It was determined they were associates of the subjects that were in the white 1995 Ford Taurus.

All the property except the large book containing the CD's was found in an empty parking space at 21st Street and Comal. Loss value: $200.00.
