Occurred on 12-11-02.
Criminal Trespass: An east side exterior door was found propped open with a rock at 3:00 am. The door had been secured at 12:20 am. Two UT students were found wandering around on the second floor. Both were issued written criminal trespass warnings.
Geography Building, 210 West 24th Street
Occurred on 12-10-02.
Theft: A black nylon purse with a shoulder strap was stolen from a third floor office. During the time the theft could have occurred the owner was in and out of the office and left the door open and unlocked "so people would know she was in." The purse contained a silver Nokia cellular telephone and a black nylon Esprit wallet. The wallet contained $60.00 cash, assorted credit cards and identification cards.
Lake Austin Center, 3001 Lake Austin Blvd.
Occurred between 12-4-02 at 2:00 p.m. and 12-10-02 at 1:00 p.m.
Harassment: Repeated annoying telephone calls have been received in a second floor office. The calls last for approximately ten seconds with no noise being heard on the caller's end. The calls are received at ten minute intervals and continue for hours.
Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st Street
Occurred on 12-9-02 between 8:00 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.
Theft: A textbook was stolen when it was left unattended on a table in a second floor computer lab. During the time that the theft could have occurred, the owner was approximately 20 feet away looking at his e-mail on a computer terminal. The next day the owner went to the University Co-op and purchased a used book to replace the one that was stolen. Thirty minutes after he purchased the book, he realized that the book that he had just bought was the one that had been stolen from him. The title of the textbook that was stolen was "Introduction to Probability." Loss value: $45.00.
Peter T. Flawn Academic Center, #2 West Mall
Occurred on 12-10-02 between 10:00 a.m. and 10:05 a.m.
Theft: A "Marketing Principles and Perspectives" textbook was stolen from a table that was located in the 1st floor lobby. The book had been left unattended for approximately five minutes. There was a study group sitting at an adjacent table and they stated they did not see who had stolen the textbook.
Robert A. Welch Hall, 105 East 24th Street
Last discovered on 12-10-02 at 1:00 p.m.
Criminal Mischief / Criminal Episode: Over the last several weeks an unknown subject has been urinating on the floor and various fixtures in a second floor men's restroom. Clean-up cost of last incident: $35.00.
West Mall Fountain
Discovered on 12-10-02 at 11:21 p.m.
Criminal Mischief: An unknown form of detergent was put in the fountain creating bubbles that resulted in damage to the filtration system.
Whitaker Fields, 5101 Guadalupe
Occurred between 12-6-02 at 7:00 p.m. and 12-8-02 at 2:00 p.m.
Criminal Mischief: A white 1996 Pontiac was damaged while it was parked in the south portion of the west side Parking Lot. The hood was dented and cracked (as if someone jumped on top of it), both right side tires were flat from being cut, there was a 2' x 1' dent in the right rear quarter panel and the right side windshield wiper was broken in half. Repair cost: $2,100.00.

Occurred between 11-21-02 at 4:00 p.m. and 11-26-02 at 4:00 p.m.
Theft: A red and chrome 4900 Trek bicycle was stolen when it was left secured with a large U lock to a sign pole on the southeast corner of the intersection. Loss value: $300.00.
2400 Whitis Avenue
Occurred on 12-2-02 at 11:55 a.m.
Leaving the Scene Collision: Witnesses observed a UT student back a blue 1997 Chevrolet pickup truck into the left front door of a green 2000 Chevrolet that was parked and unattended on the west curbline. The truck then left the scene without giving notice. At the time of the collision there were three or four unknown white male subjects sitting in the bed of the pickup truck and they began yelling for the driver to stop just before the collision. After the collision the subjects began laughing. Repair cost: $1,000.00.
