Blanton Dormitory, 2500 University

Occurred between 7-15-02 at 11:00 p.m. and 7-16-02 at 4:00 a.m.

Harassing Communication: Approximately 18 annoying telephone calls were made to a fourth floor dormitory room. Caller never spoke and there was no background noise.

Claudia Taylor Johnson Hall, 210 West 6th Street

Occurred on 7-17-02 at 2:45 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found asleep by the fountain on the east side of the building. Subject had been drinking at a bar on 6th Street. Subject could not find his car and decided to walk to his home in the 4500 block of Guadalupe. Subject had fallen asleep due to the amount of alcohol he had consumed and was under the influence of alcohol but not to the point he was an endangerment to himself. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

E. P. Schoch Building, #6 East Mall

Occurred between 7-15-02 at 7:30 p.m. and 7-16-02 at 9:00 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: Human excrement and urine were found in a fourth floor study room. Wall posters were found thrown on the floor and the room's thermostat was knocked from its mounting bracket. Repair/Cleanup Cost: $50.00.

Lavaca Building, 220 West 7th Street

Occurred on 7-17-02 at 12:10 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: Two non-UT subjects were found camping and asleep on the west side of the building. Both subjects were issued written criminal trespass warnings.

Main Building, #1 South Mall

Occurred on 7-13-02 at 3:00 p.m.

Suspicious Person: A staff member saw an unknown subject enter the 15th floor. Access to the floor was gained from an interior stairwell that gives access from the 12th floor to the 15th floor. Subject immediately left the area. Subject was described as a white male, 20 to 25 years of age, 5'10" to 6', light blond shoulder length ponytail.

Main Building, #1 South Mall

Occurred between 7-12-02 at 5:30 p.m. and 7-15-02 at 8:00 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: A wooden conference room door on the 13th floor was damaged when someone attempted to kick it in. The 13th floor elevator lobby door that should have been locked was found open and unlocked when the crime was discovered. Repair cost: $150.00.

Occurred between 7-12-02 at 5:00 p.m. and 7-16-02 at 9:00 a.m.

Theft: Three CD's were stolen from an unlocked office on the 13th floor. Loss value: $15.00.

Main Building, #1 South Mall

Occurred between 7-12-02 at 5:00 p.m. and 7-16-02 at 8:00 a.m.

Theft / Attempted Breach of Computer Security: A yellow Sony Walkman radio/cassette player and a pair of over-the-ear headphones were stolen from an unlocked office on the 13th floor. Someone attempted to by-pass the security lockout program on a computer in the office. Loss value: $50.00.

Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st Street

Occurred on 7-16-02 at 2:00 p.m.

Theft: A UT student set off the library security alarm system at the security control station on the first floor. Subject was found in possession of two library books that were removed from the Peter T. Flawn Academic Library without being checked out. Recovery value: $75.00.
