Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Building, 200 East Dean Keeton

Occurred on 4-20-02 between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

Theft: A Fundamental Engineering exam was stolen from an unsecured second floor office. During the time of the theft three unknown white male subjects (no other description) arrived, stated they were from Board of Professional Engineers and said they were there to give out pizza to people taking the exam. They were given access to where the exams were stored so they could get a table. When questioned, they were very evasive about who was paying for the pizza. Loss value: $150.00.

Parking Garage #1, 2401 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 4-25-02 at 12:40 p.m.

Theft of Services: A blue 1996 Honda was seen tailgating another vehicle out the Trinity Street exit to avoid paying the parking fee. Vehicle's license number was turned over to UT Police for follow-up investigation. Loss value: $32.00.

Parking Garage #3, 200 East Martin Luther King Blvd.

Occurred on 4-25-02 at 6:55 p.m.

Theft of Services / Assist an Outside Agency: A UT student drove his vehicle out the north exit while tailgating another vehicle in an attempt to avoid paying the parking fee. Subject was found to have two outstanding outside agency traffic warrants. Loss value: $32.00.

Parking Lot 88, 2300 East 23rd Street

Occurred on 4-25-02 between 7:00 p.m. and 7:25 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The trunk was pried open on a 1990 Toyota Camry that was parked in the northwest corner of the Parking Lot. A briefcase with a purse inside it was stolen from the trunk. The briefcase was a black and brown canvas Eddie Bauer. The purse was a black and brown leather handle-type handbag with two zippers. The purse contained glasses, a black Verizon cellular telephone and a red wallet containing assorted identification, credit cards and cash. Loss value: $140.00.

San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street

Occurred between 4-24-02 and 4-25-02 at 7:45 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: Different colored crayons were used to color six bricks in a north wall on the west side of the building. Repair cost: $200.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 4-25-02 at 1:20 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found in the building in an area that was reserved for students, faculty and staff. Subject was given a written criminal trespass warning.
