Occurred between 4-5-02 at 2:15 p.m. and 4-8-02 at 8:00 a.m.
Theft: A computer system was stolen from an unsecured eighth floor office suite. Computer system consisted of a Dell OptiPlex GX240 computer, Dell 1702FP flat panel monitor and a Dell Enhanced Quiet keyboard with computer mouse. Loss value: $ 1,700.00.
Blanton Dormitory, 2500 University Avenue
Occurred between 3-29-02 at 4:30 p.m. and 4-1-02 at 8:45 a.m.
Theft: A bicycle was stolen from a bicycle rack that was located in the northeast side of the quadrangle. Bicycle was a green men's Roadmaster. Loss value: $150.00.
McCombs School of Business, 2110 Speedway
Occurred between 4-16-02 at 11:00 p.m. and 4-17-01 at 1:30 a.m.
Theft: A purse was stolen from a 3rd floor computer lab. The owner had placed the purse on the floor next to her while working at a computer station. A person in her group asked for help on their computer. The owner turned her chair around, never leaving her computer while giving assistance. Purse was described as a large black nylon bag with two "S" shaped chrome handles. Purse contained assorted identification and credit cards. Loss value: $20.00.
Colorado Building, 702 Colorado
Discovered missing on 4-9-02 at 1:30 p.m.
Theft: A computer memory chip was stolen from a Dell computer that was left in an unsecured third floor office. Loss value: $80.00.
Engineering Teaching Center, 204 East Dean Keeton
Occurred on 4-17-02 between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Theft: A bicycle was stolen from the north end of the pedestrian bridge that is located at the southwest corner of the building. Bicycle was a women's purple Trek with 26" wheels. Loss value: $175.00.
Experimental Science Building, 100 East 24th Street
Occurred between 4-16-02 at 10:00 a.m. and 4-17-02 at 8:30 a.m.
Theft: Two electronic balance scales were stolen from an unsecured second floor media kitchen. Scales were described as Denver XP-300, off white with a blue pan. Scales were approximately 10"x10"x3.5". Loss value: $950.00.
Peter T. Flawn Academic Center, #2 West Mall
Occurred between 4-17-02 at 11:22 p.m. and 4-18-02 at 12:15 a.m.
Unauthorized Entry: A subject without any UT identification entered the building at 11:22 pm and requested entry into an area that was reserved for students, faculty and staff. Subject stated that he was a UT student and needed to speak with a friend on the third floor and would be only two minutes. Approximately forty minutes later, officers found the subject in a second floor computer lab working at a computer terminal while using another UT student's computer account number. It was later determined subject was a UT student.
Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st
Discovered on 4-17-02 at 9:25 a.m.
Seizure of Marijuana Plants: Ten marijuana plants were found being cultivated in a flowerbed that was located in the building's south interior courtyard.
Littlefield Home, 302 West 24th Street
Occurred on 4-17-02 at 10:27 a.m.
Possession of a Controlled Substance: A non-UT subject was found sleeping by the dumpsters on the north side of the building. Subject was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and narcotic paraphernalia.
Parking Lot 113, 2200 Comal Street
Occurred 4-17-02 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:10 p.m.
Criminal Mischief: Two Greek letters, one foot long were scratched on the hood of a 1998 green Honda Civic. Repair cost: $300.00.
San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street
Occurred between 4-16-02 at 4:30 p.m. and 4-17-02 at 10:07 a.m.
Criminal Mischief: An ironing board was stolen from a wall in a basement laundry room. Loss value: $25.00.
Union Building, #4 West Mall
Occurred on 4-17-02 between 3:30 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.
Graffiti: For the fourth day in a row, red paint was used to write words on two walls in a second floor men's restroom by the Cactus Cafe. Repair cost: $45.00.
Union Building, #4 West Mall
Occurred between 4-17-02 in the evening and 4-18-02 at 12:50 a.m.
Burglary of a Coin-Operated Machine: A sanitary napkin dispenser in a third floor unisex restroom was broken into. Loss value: $100.00.
University Teaching Center, 105 West 21st Street
Occurred on 4-17-02 at 1:25 p.m.
Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was soliciting money within the north side plaza. Subject had been carrying a gas can and was telling people he needed money for gas. The subject did not have the gas can when stopped by UT Police on the north side of the building. Subject stated that he had put the empty gas can in a UTC locker and he was leaving to buy some alcohol. Subject had been seen panhandling the day before, using the gas can as a prop. Subject had been issued a prior written criminal trespass warning.
Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe
Occurred between 4-16-02 at 7:00 p.m. and 4-17-02 at 4:05 p.m.
Criminal Mischief: White and yellow chalk was used to write verbal inscriptions on the east exterior wall of the building. Repair value: $5.00.
100 Block West 24th Street
Occurred on 4-17-02 at 11:00 a.m.
Leaving the Scene of a Collision: A 7-Up delivery truck was seen colliding with the driver's side mirror of a white 1997 Dodge van that was parked along the north curbline. The 7-Up delivery truck was seen leaving the scene without giving notice.

Occurred on 4-17-02 at 7:00p.m.
Criminal Mischief: A UT Parking and Transportation vehicle boot immobilizer was damaged when a UT student tried to forcibly remove it from the tire. Repair cost: $300.00.
Occurred on 4-17-02 at 4:35 p.m.
Evading: An unknown subject was told to stop by a UTPD officer when observed riding a bicycle on the East Mall. Subject used abusive and profane language toward the officer and fled the area. Subject was last seen in the 2400 block of University Avenue. Subject was described as a white male, early twenties, brown curly hair, wearing a black t-shirt with white lettering and olive green cargo shorts. Subject was riding a dark colored bicycle.
